Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted on a dedicated server operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, at a data-centre location in Germany. To deliver and secure the website, the server processes IP address, request time, requested path, response status and technical user-agent information. Technical Nginx and PM2 logs are retained for seven days. Contact-form message text and email addresses are not written to application logs. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, namely the legitimate interest in securely providing this website.
Contact enquiries
The form processes enquiry type, name, email address and message so that the lodge can answer the request. The server submits the message over an encrypted, authenticated SMTP connection to the lodge mail service at mail.your-server.de; it is then received by the Lodge Secretary. The application temporarily uses the requesting IP address in process memory for abuse throttling and does not write the submitted message to application logs. No tracking pixel is added. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding and protecting the form), or Article 6(1)(b) where the request concerns pre-contractual steps.
Map and external links
The embedded OpenStreetMap view is not requested until you press ‘Load map’. Activation is voluntary and connects your browser to OpenStreetMap, which may receive your IP address and browser data. The ordinary directions link is available without embedding the map, but following it leaves this site.
Storage and analytics
No optional analytics or marketing technology is active. If you save a privacy choice, the browser stores only that local preference. You can remove it on the Privacy Settings page.
Your rights
Subject to the GDPR, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. You may contact the controller using the privacy address shown above. You also have the right to complain to the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Ludwig-Erhard-Str. 22, 20459 Hamburg.
Retention and recipients
Enquiries are transmitted to the nal841.de mail service and received by the Lodge Secretary. The mail server may create technical delivery logs. Concluded enquiries are reviewed after twelve months and deleted unless an unresolved request or legal duty requires longer retention. Technical Nginx and PM2 logs are deleted after seven days.
